Kansas City, Mo. (Nov. 20, 2015) – Shick Solutions, a Kansas City ingredient automation company, hired Kevin Webb as its new director of engineering.

Webb has more than 20 years of engineering experience in the pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries. Most recently, Webb was the director of engineering, maintenance, facilities, utilities and health/environmental/safety at Bayer Healthcare in Shawnee, Kan. and St. Joseph, Mo. At Bayer, he led the direction and development of the engineering department and was responsible for all technical aspects of the Shawnee and St. Joseph production facilities.
Prior to Bayer, Webb was the associate director of engineering for CIMA Labs and continued that role when Teva Pharmaceuticals acquired the company in 2011. He transferred to the Teva St. Joseph aseptic facility and was associate director of engineering until Bayer acquired the company in 2013.
In addition, Webb spent a total of six years in the food industry with the Dean Foods Company, the Schwan Food Company and Barry-Wehmiller Design Group.

Webb graduated from the Missouri University of Science and Technology with a bachelor of science in engineering.
