Kansas City, Mo. (October 29, 2015) – Shick Solutions, a Kansas City ingredient automation company, hired Brian Standerwick as the newest addition to its liquids engineering department.
“As a complete solution supplier for ingredients, the handling of liquid ingredients is a growing part of our business,” said Tim Cook, president. “It is imperative that we have people like Brian to help deliver industry-leading solutions to our customers.”
Standerwick has more than 25 years of liquids processing experience and most recently worked for Tetra Pak as a senior process engineer. At Tetra Pak, Standerwick was a process engineer/project manager for several dairy projects that included the project management, process design and startup for a system to process mozzarella cheese for Canada’s largest dairy foods processor.
Prior to his role at Tetra Pak, he managed large domestic and international liquids processing projects for Abbott Nutrition and Waukesha Cherry-Burrell. Standerwick’s other expertise includes aseptic processing of a wide variety of dairy and high acid food products, Clean-In-Place (CIP) systems, sanitary installations, and selection and sizing of all types of pumps and heat exchangers used in the food industry.

Standerwick graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and also earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
